A snippet from an article in the Guardian:
"In many circles in the UK the essential story from 1948 to 1967 was of plucky little Israel standing against a much bigger and decidedly undemocratic Arab world..."
Here's how to interpret that statement: "Since then, the UK, along with most of Europe, has come to understand that they are far more afraid of Muslims than they could ever be of Israelis. For this reason, the standard line is that Israel is a bully-occupier, Palestinians are legitimate to use violence and that Israel needs to give up everything order to ease the pressure of potential radical Islam in European countries."
Always remember: Europeans are scared of Muslims, and they certainly don't mind adopting the line that Israel is a racist, horrible country that delights in killing Palestinian children.
